Chocolate Minneolas

{These Juicy and sweet treats are sure to quench your thirst and satisfy your sweet tooth! }
 {Minneola Tangelo- High in Potassium, Folic acid, and Vitamin C}
 {Scharffen Berger Bittersweet Chocolate- 70% Cacao. 
Trader Joe's Semi-sweet chocolate chips are great too!} 
{First chop up 6 oz. of chocolate. In a sauce pan melt half a stick of earth balance or butter. Return stove top to a low temperature and add chopped chocolate. turn with a spatula until mixture becomes creamy and smooth. }
 {Peel the Minneolas and be sure to clean off the thick fruit threads. gently dip into the chocolate sauce pan and line on a cookie sheet. Leave in the refrigerator for two hours and they will be ready to eat!}

These juicy treats are so perfect on a sunny spring day! High in vitamins and potassium, Tangelos are refreshing and have only a few seeds. The ones I used had none. Gorgeously glazed in chocolate i left the tops exposed to show off its rich color and beauty. Indulge in these super easy-to-make sweets!

  3. i make the same thing just without oranges and without butter and without melting. Such Minneolas are also known in some circles as Hershey Bars.
