Salty, crispy, and spicy, you can have all the excitement of a potato chip without the high carbs or calorie intake. Full of vitamin a, vitamin c, potassium, fiber, and other important minerals, these homemade kale chips are the ideal power snack. Their chewy and crunchy texture and vinegary flavor leave you feeling light and satisfied, instead of bloated and heavy. They were just as enjoyable to take photos of as they were to eat, and serve as an excellent snack to keep around the house for when your in the mood of a little bite.
2 large bunches kale
4 tbs extra virgin olive oil
2 tbs kosher salt
3 tbs granulated garlic
1/3 c apple cider vinegar
2 tbs red chili flakes
1. Discard the kale stems and gently rip the greens. In a colander rinse the leaves well checking for dirt and bugs. Dry kale in paper towels.
2. Set the oven to a high broil. On a large cookie sheet spread the olive oil evenly. bed the cookie sheet with the kale greens. add the salt, and granulated garlic. drizzle the apple cider vinegar and sprinkle the chili flakes.
3. Broil kale for ten minutes until it is crispy. with a fork or spatula carefully toss the kale so that all the greens can crisp. Broil for three to five more minutes.
