I always love trying new toppings on my pizza, and while examining some fresh ingredients in my refrigerator, this incredibly savory, meaty, and deeply colored pizza came to be. Last summer I decided to combine two of many favorite foods- pizza and meat- which was one of the most delicious dinners we had all summer meat pizza . Aiming to create an exciting blend of complex flavors could sometimes be tricky, however on pizza it's all about your favorite toppings. This Middle Eastern pizza's thin crust, lemon zing, and beefy bites, make it a perfect all-in-one treat for any summer night.
1 lb pizza dough
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 medium sized lemon, halved and sliced
1 c bok choy lettuce
1/4 lb. ground turkey
1 c bok choy lettuce
1/4 lb. ground turkey
2 tbsp turmeric
2 tbsp sea salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375° and place a rack to the center of the oven. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray. Roll out pizza dough into a medium sized thin oval. brush 2 tablespoons olive oil over dough and place in the oven for 10 minutes until lightly baked.
2. Remove dough from oven and sprinkle the bok choy lettuce, lemon slices, and ground turkey.
3. drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil, the sea salt, turmeric, and chili powder.
Such an original idea! You can practically seee the flavors bursting from each slice! Can't wait to try this myself... Might even consider throwing on the grill par-baked :)
